Is Inkline free?+
Yes. It's free to use for personal and commercial sites, with no account and no watermark.
Do you store my signature?+
No. Drawing, previewing, and exporting all happen in your browser. Your draft is saved only in your own browser's local storage so it survives a refresh.
Which frameworks does it work with?+
Any. The React export works in Next.js, TanStack Start, Remix, and Vite. The HTML export works in Astro, WordPress, Webflow, or plain HTML. The SVG file works anywhere an image does.
Does it respect reduced motion?+
Yes. Visitors who prefer reduced motion see the finished signature straight away, with no animation.
Can it follow my site's dark mode?+
Choose Ink as the colour. The HTML and React exports then use currentColor, so the signature takes your text colour in light and dark themes.
Can I use it to sign PDFs?+
Yes. Choose For documents, then PNG. In Adobe Acrobat, use Fill & Sign, then Add signature, then Image. In Preview on a Mac, open the PNG, copy it, and paste it into your PDF. A drawn signature is fine for everyday documents, but it isn't a certified digital signature, which some legal or financial documents require.
What's the difference between the downloads?+
Website formats (React, HTML, animated SVG) animate in browsers. Document formats don't animate: the PNG has a transparent background for PDFs, Word, Google Docs, and email, and the static SVG is for design tools like Figma, Illustrator, and Canva.
Why draw it here instead of uploading an image?+
An image only has outlines, so it can't be animated as a pen stroke. Drawing records each stroke in order, so the animation replays exactly how you signed.
